We are building healthier communities by way of a healthier food system by prioritizing programs in food access, food production, and food education. Our programming is designed to address the root causes of hunger, food insecurity, and food related illness in an effort to cultivate a healthy, equitable food system in the greater Colorado Springs community.

Supporting health equity is simple when you invest in Food to Power.

Your support allows us to continue working on the front lines of hunger relief throughout the pandemic. For every $1 contributed, Food to Power can provide $6 worth of fresh, healthy food to members of our community who lack access.

When you invest in Food to Power, you are also investing in environmental health. Through our composting program, we are working to close the loop on the local food system by redirecting food scraps from the landfill to the soil. This reduces CO2 emissions, sequesters carbon from the atmosphere, and imporves soil health in our community.

$500 can underwrite the cost of one FLY (Food systems Leadership for Youth) intern for one quarter. The FLY internship is a paid opportunity for high school aged youth that provides experiential education and hands on work experience. With food as the vehicle, the FLY Internship focuses on economic justice, health equity, and how we all grow.
