Volunteer at a Food to Power Community Corner!
Community Corner is a pop-up educational activity Food to Power offers during some of our Saturday no-cost grocery programs at the Hillside Hub. This could be anything from a quick recipe to fermentation lessons to tips for extending the life of your food. We give out free samples during the grocery program, and participants who stop by the Corner multiple times can sign in to redeem a free small kitchen appliance from Food to Power!
We are seeking volunteers both to come up with new Community Corner ideas and to help run the Corner during our programming. Including set-up and clean-up, the time frame is 10:00am – 2:00pm, on Saturdays at the Hillside Hub (1090 S. Institute St.). You can sign up for the full time period or a 2-hour shift. For now, Community Corner is monthly, but we will host it more frequently with more volunteers. Fill up this form if you are interested!
